I got my step 2 CK score today, 241/99. About 2 months ago, I passed my step
1, which I also got another 99. I am happy about these scores coz my
hardwork is paid off.
It is nice to share some of my experience with people who are studying for
the exams or who are preparing to study.
I spent about three months study for step 1 and two months for step 2. I
think that it is enough to pass the exam if you are study full time. If you
study part time, it takes a little bit longer. However, the most important
thing is that you have to study constantly,i.e., several hours every day.
For me, I studied 8-10 hours on weekday and less on weekends coz I have take
care of my kids on weekends.
The materials I used are very classic, Kaplan notes (For Pathology, I used
BRS) and FA, nothing else. I do not encourage you to use different review
materials and try to combine them together because I think that will waste
you a lot of precious time. Stick to Kaplan and FA! I reviewed all the
materials twice before I started UW. I highly recommend UW.
It is great source to practice the exam. You will get a lot of highly organized
summaries from their explanation.I spent 1 month doing the Q bank. At the
same time, I went back to the review materials everytime I had something
confusing, and try to organize things in my own way to make them easier to
Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any questions. I will be happy
to answer it.

My LD got 94s. She studied about 4 hours a day (6-8am in the morning, 1-3pm
in the afternoon) for about 3 month each step, and spent one week (almost
full time) for CS. She needed to run experiments for her PhD in the daytime
and take care of our small baby in the evenings.
