首先什么我文笔不好，但是觉得这个经验很有必要给大家分享，让大家签证减少很多麻
烦。

好像可以约到后天的，今天约明天可能不行。网上约非常简单，填一下个人信息就行了
。没有confirmation email，自己记住自己约的时间就行了。
2. 填表的link： http://www.germany.info/Vertretung/usa/en/05__Legal/02__Directory__Services/01__Visa/__Visa.html
选择申请的visa类型：一般是Tourist visit，填表打印（生成的表会有好几个条形码
）。
注：这是最新表格，很多其他网站上的schengen Visa的表格都是以前的或者已经不能
用的了。我就是从一个认为还很权威的网站link填的表格，最后到了大使馆被要求去旁
边一个打印店花了$12多填了一个打印出来。费钱费时间，幸好我提前一个小时到的，
所有interview没迟到。
还要填 Declaration form。
3. 买medical insurance： http://www.insubuy.com/guide/schengen-visa-insurance.jsp
自己选一个公司的买，很便宜，买一周的insurance才$5。领事馆要求：The medical
evacuation/repatriation insurance has to amount to a minimum of $50,000.
4.把自己的所有签证资料都弄一个复印件：护照，驾照（他会要求看这个），
invitation letter，飞机票，hotel reservation，medical insurance 等等，我会附
上一个他给我发的材料清单。这个很重要，不然你就被要求去隔壁的复印店复印，复印
四张1美金。费钱费时间。最后交给签证官的是复印的那套材料，不是原件。他会留下
所有的复印材料，而且看到他一直在各种材料上写记号。
另外，跟美国签证不同，每半个小时就只约一个人，一天就interview几个人（不是很
多人都约在一个时间段），我约的是9：30-10：00am，所以9：00-9：30am的人
interview完就我了。10点我就走人了，所以不像美国签证一样上午9点进，下午1点才
出来。签完上飞机的人不需要预留很多时间，基本上预约的时间内解决问题，偶尔也可
能前面那个人超时了，稍微托一点，但不会很久。
一般第二天能拿到护照，可以选择寄，邮寄费$20，签证费$80.
材料清单：
- fully completed application form (only German and English versions
accepted) and required declaration
- two passport photographs (strict requirements, see details)
- valid national passport and one copy thereof (Please note these important
regulations concerning your travel document/passport:
(a) its validity has to extend the duration of the visa you are applying for
by at least 3 months
(b) it has to contain at least two blank pages;
(c) it must have been issued within the previous 10 years. If it has been
issued before that, your passport can not be accepted. That even applies in
cases where the validity has been extended by the authorities of your home
country.
- original of valid US alien registration card or valid US resident visa (
type A, E, F plus endorsed I-20, G, H, I, J plus J1 documents, L, O, R) and
one copy
- your current bank statements from the previous three months and one copy
- Confirmation letter from your health insurance stating coverage for
emergency medical, hospitalization and repatriation with a minimum of 30,000
Euros ( equiv. 50,000US-$ ) for trips outside the US and one copy
- reference letter from your employer
- proof of group travel/hotel reservation/airline reservation and one copy
- your driver's license and/or utility bill in your name as proof of
residence in the consular district where you plan to apply
- visa fees
- invitation letter/official affidavit from your friends/relatives in
Germany and one copy thereof together with a copy of their German ID or
foreign passport.
The letter has to be signed and should state the names of inviter and
invitee and the address in Germany where invitee will stay. Copy of the
German ID should show the name and the current address of inviter.
Copies of the foreign passport should include ID page and the page showing
the residence permit for Germany.
Please note: In individual cases, you may be required to provide additional
documents.
