The primary mission of the St. Louis Modern Chinese School is to provide a nurturing avenue for students of all ages and ethnic backgrounds to learn Chinese language and share Chinese culture.
The St. Louis Modern Chinese School was founded in 1997 as a family-oriented non-profit Chinese language school dedicated to teaching Chinese as a second language. The primary mission of the St. Louis Modern Chinese School is to provide a nurturing avenue for students of all ages and ethnic backgrounds to learn Chinese language and share Chinese culture. SLMCS is an active member of Chinese School Association in the United States (CSAUS) with some 150 member schools and more than 20,000 enrolled students.
Started with 40 students in 1997, the St. Louis Modern Chinese School currently has over 400 students enrolled, making it one of the largest Chinese language schools in the United States. SLMCS is operated by volunteers and its financial support is mainly from tuitions and donations from individuals and private business and institutions. The school opens from 1:30pm-5:00pm on Sunday. The first two hours are devoted for language learning followed by cultural activities including Chinese arts and sports. Special classes are offered for children and adults of non-Chinese descent to learn Chinese as a second language. We strive to continue making SLMCS the place for students to learn Chinese language and culture, respect, and responsibility.

Mandarin and Art Summer Camp is designed for children entering Kindergarten through 5rd grade. This program will give them a unique opportunity to learn and improve their language skills in Mandarin. The students participate in classes conducted in Mandarin that include such culturally rich activities as drawing, Chinese brush painting, clay art, Chinese folk songs and poetry, and many more. All sessions, including the extended care, will be conducted in Mandarin.

With the strong support from the community, the Connecticut Chinese Language Academy (CCLA) of Chinese Culture
Center (CCC) has been a great success since its inception in 2005. To meet the popular demand from many parents in the
community as well as friends, families and the people who love Chinese culture, the CCLA will continue to offer the best
quality education programs to the community.
The mission of the CCLA is to provide an interesting, lively and fun learning environment for children from preschooler
to teenager through Chinese folk & fairy tales, poems, classical stories, etc. while achieving designated levels of
language proficiency based on different needs.
In addition to the language classes, CCLA also offers the cultural activity classes, such as Chinese Dance, Marital
Art (Wu-Shu), Chinese Art (Painting and Craft), Wei-Qi (Go) and Chess (or Chinese Chess). The cultural classes
take place after the language classes.

本校初创于一九九三年底，是一群由家长组成的中文学习小组。一九九五年一月正式成立，是旧金山湾区第一所经州政府正式注册，由中国大陆新移民创办，首先采用汉语拼音和简体字教学的中文学校，以新移民为主要服务对象。经过十年的努力，已发展成一所由加州政府核发执照的专业儿童教育机构，设有中英双语幼教中心、课后辅导、周末中文学校、儿童夏令营。除法定节假日外，全年开课。
新意自创中文教学品牌, 采用十多年全职海外中文实验教学亲身经验自行研发的教材----《新意中文》。本教材从启蒙班至中文7年级共分24册。8年级的教材正在编写之中。本教材每册十课，周末中文学校每年学3册(不含暑假班)，课后班和暑假班每周上两课，每课教材教学时间设计为2小时。有简体和繁体两个版本 (本校只教授简体字)。
