Saint Michael’s is a Catholic college of just under 2,000 students located minutes from the outstanding college town of Burlington, Vermont.

At Saint Michael’s College, our students learn what matters: they learn about the environment, the global community, new media, psychology, international business, world religions and politics. And they learn how to live in a warm, caring community that values independence and diversity as well as close, caring relationships. All this while being right next to the awesome Green Mountains and Burlington, one of America’s greatest college towns.

Spend even a few minutes in Burlington and you’ll understand why it’s often named one of the best college towns in the country. It’s also commonly ranked as one of the happiest and healthiest places to live. We’re proud to call it home. St. Mike’s campus is located just moments from downtown, so students can easily access all that Burlington has to offer, from shops, restaurants and cafés to outdoor activities on Lake Champlain and the mountains beyond.

The College was founded by the Society of Saint Edmund in 1904. Their guiding principles of education, justice, and service to the poor are at the heart of the Saint Michael’s experience.

St. Mike’s is included in the Fiske Guide to Colleges, regarded as the most authoritative, most prestigious directory of colleges and universities, and Princeton Review’s Best 376 Colleges. U.S. News & World Report ranks Saint Michael’s among the “Best National Liberal Arts Colleges” and Newsweek/Kaplan named St. Mike’s one of 30 “Hidden Treasures” – “small schools that deserve national recognition.”

Champlain College is a private, coeducational college located in Burlington, Vermont. It offers professionally focused programs that incorporate an interdisciplinary core curriculum. In addition to its main campus, the College maintains study-abroad campuses in Montreal and Dublin, and offers online programs. Seventy-three percent of students are from out of state. At 1993 undergrad students Champlain is the fifth largest institute of higher education in Vermont, after the University of Vermont, the Community College of Vermont, Middlebury College, and Saint Michael's College.

Founded as Burlington Collegiate Institute by G.W. Thompson in 1878, a series of acquisitions changed the College's name and location multiple times. It was renamed Burlington Business College in 1884, moved to Bank Street in 1905, and relocated to Main Street in 1910. In 1958, the College took its current name and moved to Hill Section of Burlington, where it remains today. That year, it offered associate's degree programs and enrolled about 60 students.
Champlain College grew over the decades, opening its first dormitories in 1965, starting new programs in the field of social services in the 1970s, and adding the Hauke Family Campus Center in 1989. The first bachelor's degree programs were offered in 1991, and online education began in 1993. The College's library, the Robert E. and Holly D. Miller Information Commons, was opened in 1998. In 2002, the College initiated its first master's degree program.

Vanderbilt University is a private research university located in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Founded in 1873, the university is named for shipping and rail magnate "Commodore" Cornelius Vanderbilt, who provided Vanderbilt its initial $1 million endowment despite having never been to the South. The Commodore hoped that his gift and the greater work of the university would help to heal the sectional wounds inflicted by the Civil War.[2]
Today Vanderbilt enrolls approximately 12,000 students from all 50 U.S. states and over 90 foreign countries in four undergraduate and six graduate and professional schools. Several research centers and institutes are affiliated with the university, including the Vanderbilt Institute for Public Policy Studies, Freedom Forum First Amendment Center, Dyer Observatory, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the only Level I trauma center in Middle Tennessee. With the exception of the off-campus observatory and satellite medical clinics, all of university's facilities are situated on its 330-acre (1.3 km2) campus in the heart of Nashville, only 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from downtown. Despite its urban surroundings, the campus itself is a national arboretum and features over 300 different species of trees and shrubs.
Notable alumni and affiliates include two Vice Presidents of the United States, 25 Rhodes Scholars, seven Nobel Prize laureates, Pulitzer Prize winners, and Academy Award winners.[3][4]
In its 2011 ranking of universities, U.S. News & World Report placed Vanderbilt 17th among national universities, and the schools of education, law, medicine, and nursing were ranked among the top 20 in the country. The Academic Ranking of World Universities listed Vanderbilt as 41st in the world in its 2009 ranking. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2010-11 has listed Vanderbilt as the 51st best university in the world.[5] The university is among the top 10 recipients of federal research funding with $444.3 million in 2008.[6][详细查看]

academic excellence in a global learning environment
a tight-knit, diverse, and international community
a worldwide network of alumnae
the conviction that women can and should make a difference in the world.

Located in South Hadley, Massachusetts, Mount Holyoke is 90 minutes west of Boston and three hours north of New York City. We encourage prospective students to visit our beautiful campus, talk to professors and coaches, learn about the tremendous advantages of the Five College Consortium, tour our top-notch facilities, and chat with current students.[详细查看]

San José State University's location in the Silicon Valley makes it an exceptionally rewarding learning environment for students. Silicon Valley firms and agencies seek SJSU students for internships, summer work programs and for assistance with research and development projects. Silicon Valley firms employ more graduates from SJSU than from any other university in the nation.

Located on 154 acres in downtown San José, the university offers the excitement of studying at a large, metropolitan campus where many cultures meet. Yet students find personal attention from faculty members in the smaller setting of the university's eight colleges.

San José is a newly revitalized city which hosts major sports, the arts, museums and restaurants serving a wide variety of cuisines. The Santa Cruz coastline is less than an hour away; San Francisco is one hour north.
Mission

To enrich the lives of its students, to transmit knowledge to its students along with the necessary skills for applying it in the service of our society, and to expand the base of knowledge through research and scholarship.
Accreditation

SJSU is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Various college programs are accredited by specialized accrediting agencies. Additional information can be found on the university's WASC Accreditation site.
