Why most CMGs are exhausted and have no time for education?
This is one of weakness of CMGs. IF you didn\'t have any clinical experience
in China (lots of 99/99 belong to this group) and you did research after you
graduated from medical school 10 to 15 years, your bed side experience is
zero. You worry about your patients. You have the stress not to make
mistakes which cause you exhausted everyday.
IF you did have any clinical experience in China 5 to 10 years, you got
matched when you graduated from medical school for 15 to 20 years. 1) Your
English may have problem. 2) You know how Chinese physicians deal with
patients and diseases, then you suffer more. You may need more time to get
used to US medical system.
You said:\"But from my experience in China, liars usually win, at least in the short
term. Is this sometime the same in the US hospitals?\"
Never try it! In our program, we CMGs continue this tradition: honest,
support each other, help each other.
You are right, liars usually win, at least in the short term. It happens
everywhere. But if you lie today, you will lie 10 time to support the liar
you did the day before. You can\'t afford it.
I was very happy about it when I was a resident. If I made a mistake, I
admitted it and I learned something. If I forgot something I shouldn\'t, I
said sorry and tried to correct it. I made lots of mistakes in the first yr
and 2nd yr, but I enjoyed my 3rd year and finally got an dream program
fellowship. It is because I am honest and I grew up from all the mistakes I
