To me, if anywhere worths a trip, it worths a >2 days trip. Ottawa is not bad.
Summer night life is not bad as a middle-small size city. I usually stopped by
there for no more than 2 day one night. But I never want to come to a city in
the morning and leave before the same night. Just being lazy and slow:)

depends on what you like
you will definitely visit the parliament hill
there are several good museums and art gallaries
Civilization Museum and Arts gallary are strongly recommended.
Byward market is an interesting place in downtown.
not far from there is the Gatineau Park in hull.
one hour and half from Montreal
one hour and half from Thousand islands lake

thanks, I do like museums a lot.
actually previously I was planning a two-day trip to Montreal,
but found out one way ticket from Toronto to Ottawa is only $19
while from Toronto to Montreal is $80+, so kind of hesitated ...

well, Montreal is also a cool places
several famous Catholic Churches: St. Joseph, and Nortdam (forget the spelling)
the harbor
downtown, walking street,
University of McGill
Olypic Stadium,
and ...
hehe

thanks, I heard in Montreal there are good French food and Chinese food,
and if I go there, I'd like to watch some game in Olympic Stadium, hehe
