发信站: BBS 未名空间站 (Wed Nov 14 14:07:21 2007)
13 November 2007: We are actively looking for two exceptional post docs
with experience in the following areas: (1) Semiconductor fabrication and
device testing, and (2) organic synthesis.
Please submit your application as directed below. For Post Docs in other areas, all our positions are full but you may send us your application in anticipation of future openings in composites, carbon nanotube functionalization and elastomers if you like. Such applications will be more favorably viewed if you are able to provide >75% of your own funding through fellowships and/or outside grants. We seek applications from ambitious, dedicated, self-motivated, hard-working scientists with a strong desire to participate in the development of molecular electronics, organic synthesis, composites, elastomers and nanoscale science and technology in a university setting, with strong ties to commercial and government sectors.
This may involve extensive interaction with collaborators at the University of Virginia, North Carolina State University, Texas A&M, the University of Southern California, NASA, and others. Please send your CV and cover letter with references (in Microsoft Word or text format) to Dr. Dustin James, the Tour Group Laboratory Manager, at dustin@rice.edu, specifying the position for which you are applying in the subject line. You will be contacted if we need recommendation letters. Postal Mail address is: Dr. Dustin James, Rice University, Chemistry Dept., MS-222, 6100 Main St., Houston, Texas 77005-1892. Indicate clearly on the outside of the envelope that it is a post doctoral application, and include a full name and return address on the outside of the envelope.
Please do not send your CV to Dr. Tour. It will be lost in the voluminous amount of e-mail he receives every day. Those who fail to follow this simple request may not have their submission evaluated.
Rice University is an equal employment opportunity, affirmative action employer.
In the Tour Group you will be working in a dynamic environment at Rice University, which is rich in tradition. Rice has recently been awarded the Center for Biological and Environmental Nanotechnology by the NSF. The Tour Group is housed in the Smalley Institute for Nanoscale Science and Technology. Rice is located just south of the heart of Houston, Texas, the fourth largest city in the United States. The Texas Medical Center is located across the street from Rice, and Rice University is a member of the Alliance for Nanohealth.
