Just to provide an update on this issue:

Although I have submitted CAF before my ECFMG certificate status changed,
and It was said that CAF cannot be changed after submission, the CAF did
automatically update the ECFMG status portion after I made change in the
profile.

However, I don't know for programs which have already downloaded my profile
will get an update or not. It has not happened yet.

The same, I guess, would also apply to the immigration status section. So
for the brother who was uncertain to put H-1B or EAD in his profile, it
probably is not a big issue. You can change it after you receive your EAD.
